I realise that this is a pretty big call, but bear with me.
Sitting on the Circumvesuviana train with my fellow travellers, a new bloke got at one of the stations on and stood in the doorway between 2 carriages, and put down a boom-box music player of some sort and pressed play - and clearly he had pre-set the volume all of the way up to 11 (or at least very, very loud); he then did his "busking" which entailed shaking and hitting a tambourine somehow entirely out of time with the music.
When the first "tune" was completed, he sent his son (or at least a young lad who should have been at school) through the carriages suggesting that we should pay for the privilege we had just had; sadly, he was out of luck in our carriage.
Unfortunately not to be deterred, the somewhat hopeful non-tambourine man put on another song and promptly ruined that one too, as he fortunately moved along to a new position further along the train - ah, the serenity!
I rest my case.
